This past weekend, my cousin and I visited a friend of ours, Jaisa, in the hospital. She was in a motorcycle accident the week before, she flew 10 feet off the bike and hit the concrete. She was in ICU for 2 days, and underwent surgery on her spine. Doctors said there would be a great chance that she would never walk again and be wheel chair bound, but she proved them wrong. She slowly began walking little by little as days passed and at this time is ready to go home and into a rehab program.
The 45 minutes my cousin and I visited her and her parents in the hospital really changed my perspective on things.
Jaisa proved all the doctors wrong when she began to walk and recover so quickly after a major accident. It was God’s plan for her to walk again and to recover from this. If it wasn’t meant to happen then it wouldn’t have happened. Everything happens for a reason, good or bad. God never gives us a challenges or obstacles that are too great to handle. He gives us challenges in life because He knows we can deal and get through them. We also never know when this life is over, only He knows. He is the provider of life, but also the life taker. Life should never be taken for granted and just waking up each day is a blessing. God’s plan for us is unknown and all we can do as mortals is to live each day out with positivity, optimism, and love.
